Every year, we include many films in our analysis of American culture. These films are iconic in nature and reflect historical and/or sociological realities of American culture. Consequently, many of the films we will be watching have been rated "R" by the Motion Picture Association of America.
Parents will be receiving a letter home listing the R-rated films that we will be analyzing in class. A copy of that letter can be found here.
The films we watch are for the sole purpose of a critical examination of American culture.
